With over 25 years of service in educational leadership, Dave Devereaux has experienced the complexity and unique challenges in the education industry. From teacher to school site leader to District administrator, he has been recognized for his conscientious approach and steadfast decision-making during tumultuous times. An exceptional leader, who seizes every opportunity to improve student experiences, his extensive tenure has equipped him with unique insights into the infrastructure and operational deficiencies of California school systems, making him a valuable resource to colleagues at every level.

Raul Fernandez has demonstrated commitment and unwavering leadership to students and families with over 40 years of service in the education industry; from elementary to secondary schools to primary centers, then to continuation schools and special education service centers as a Principal. Addressing infrastructure and operational issues, he has provided strong administrative support to school communities, with instructional and operational guidance and assistance at the local, regional and state levels; that has helped shape some of LA's most iconic schools. His mantra is "...one has to be involved and understand that the success of any student, is in recognizing the norms, traditions and customs of the school community serving that student."
Raul is an avid LA sports fan, an accomplished magician and Director at the University for the Academy of Magical Arts, at the world famous Magic Castle in Hollywood. In his spare time he enjoys, traveling, reading a good fiction book and supporting local restaurants.
Bob Smiland’s passion for advancing the youth of our inner cities through innovative forward thinking polices and practices, started in 1986 when was elected to the Board of Education of South Pasadena. Following that experience, he continued to dedicate much of his time serving public and private education initiatives at the local and statewide levels, exercising responsible stewardship of federal grants and resources.
Bob was co-founder of Extera Charter School in 2010 serving the Boyle Heights and East LA communities. Bob served as President and CEO of Inner-City Arts for seven years providing high quality arts education for LAUSD K-12 students and families. He also has 30 year’s experience leading Pilgrim School, one of Los Angeles’ outstanding K - 12 private schools. Bob seeks equality and equity for all students attending public or private schools. As a past trustee of both Piedmont College in Georgia, and the University of California, Berkeley; he understands the importance of equity for all students and equal access to higher education opportunities, regardless of what zip code you live in.
Bobby Canosa-Carr is a leadership coach and a senior public education executive. Throughout his career, Bobby has created fertile ground for learning, growth, and self-actualization -- for children and teens, for educators, and for leaders in the public and private sectors. As a school principal, he led the turnaround of a large public high school in Los Angeles and subsequently founded an innovative charter school in his hometown of San Pedro, California. He is a pioneer in personalized & project-based learning, restorative practices, and mentoring in schools. In his work in the nonprofit sector, Bobby designed and facilitated professional development to guide school leaders in more than 300 schools across 40 states as they led school transformations.
Currently, Bobby’s work focuses largely on holistic coaching of school principals and other leaders in the public education sector. His deep experience with adult learning also makes him an impactful coach for executives in the private sector. He believes that, by making transformational change within ourselves, we empower ourselves to support meaningful change in the communities, organizations, and individuals that we serve.
Bobby is happiest when doing anything that brings him to the present moment and reminds him to breathe on purpose. On any given weekend, you might find him climbing boulders in Joshua Tree, swimming in the waves of the Pacific Ocean, or riding his Harley Davidson up a winding coastal road.
